About Me
I am an accredited easel paintings conservator with over 20 years' experience. After graduating from Northumbria University with an MA in the Conservation of Easel Painting in 1996, I completed internships in painting conservation studios at the Limburg Conservation Institute (SRAL) in Maastricht and at the Victoria and Albert Museum. After working as a painting conservator at the Southampton City Art Gallery and in private studios in Sheffield and Oxfordshire, I set up my own studio in Shropshire in 2007.
The studio specialises in the treatment of 16th - 20th century paintings on canvas, wood or metal supports. All work is carried out to museum standards and is fully documented. Other services include condition surveys for collections, detailed condition reports for churches applying for funding (following the guidelines set out by the Church Buildings Council), and preparation of paintings for loan.
Clients include the National Trust, museums and galleries, churches and private owners.
