Pugin High Altar
Conservation was carried out of the High Altar, 6 candle sticks and 2 candle holders at St Peter’s Bromsgrove in September-December 2020 . The altar is attributed to AWN Pugin and was originally installed in the chapel at Alton Towers in the 1830-40s before being relocated to St Peter’s in the 1860s. The altar and associated objects were in reasonable condition and have undergone conservation cleaning, repair and application of protective products to help maintain their condition in the future.
Conservation was undertaken to clean and stabilise the High Altar following building works to the St Peters Church, Bromsgrove. Contact me for more details.
