That “oops” moment, when someone falls through the door.

One beautiful front door, c.1890, by Daniel Cottier. Well worth saving as much as possible of the original lead and glass to retain the original look and feel of the smashed door. The jigsaw of bits arrived in a bucket and the rest was strapped to the back of a wooden bard. It took two weeks just to reassemble every shard, and to work forwards from there, cutting and re-painting as required. The whole window was not re-leaded, only the parts which were badly damaged, broken, or missing.

Never throw any debris away.
