About Me
I am a conservation consultant promoting the sustainable preservation of heritage through advisory services in preventive conservation and care of historic interiors, collections and the buildings in which they are housed. With a background in sustainable conservation and over 25 years experience in the conservation and care of collections, I have built a proven tack record in the management of projects, identifying priorities for preventive and remedial conservation, ensuring best use of resources and liaising with project team members and stakeholders as required. Core skills include: collection management and care; prioritising preventive conservation; management of environmental conditions; optimising display and storage; strategic planning and structuring; training development and delivery; summary and advisory reports; sustainable and ethical approach.

Work History
Senior Conservator, National Trust for Scotland.
Conservator, National Trust for Scotland. First postholder of newly created post, ensuring the long-term preservation of the Trust's collections, including development of a Collections Care Policy for the collections in Historic Houses.
Conservation Adviser, Scottish Museums Council. First posholder of newly created post, responsible for providing advice in the areas of conservation and collections care to member museums of all types and sizes.
