We specialise in the conservation of Western works of art on paper and historic photographs.  We also have a part-time organics conservator.

Our wide experience, from old master drawings (including Leonardo da Vinci), through classic watercolours (such as J.M.W Turner) to contemporary artworks (for example Bansky) gives us the knowledge to approach most jobs from a position of understanding.

Most of our customers are in the UK though we also have clients in the Middle East, USA, Far East and Australia.

An excellent range of equipment allows us to undertake a full range of treatments including ‘difficult’ artworks..

The spacious studio enables us to tackle large artworks such as cartoons, maps and panoramas.

Our conservation work is complimented by in-house mounting and framing to museum standards.  This makes us a ‘one-stop shop’.

We have 24/7 on site security, an intruder alarm and good physical security to provide peace of mind.

Award winning work.

The studio was founded in 1974 within the Fitzwilliam Museum and was initially part of a government funded charity.  In 1995 the studio was privatised, renamed Museum Conservation Services Ltd, and moved to new premises within the Imperial War Museum at Duxford.
