Scremby Anglo-Saxon Objects
Conservation of some select objects from Scremby, Lincolnshire. Excavated by University of Sheffield led by Hugh Willmott.
Several objects were conserved to ensure that the maximum archaeological information could be gathered, this included delicate enamel details and copper alloy finish on the Scremby Cup, mineralised textiles on some wonderful broches and stabilisation of a ivory bag handle.
A small twitter thread about the conservation of the cup can be found here https://twitter.com/drakonheritage/status/1202168587185729536
