Conservation cleaning and stabilisation of Anglo-Saxon and Roman finds from Baginton, Warwickshire.

The conservation project cleaned and stabilised finds recovered from Baginton, Warwickshire. The finds included some very exciting finds of preserved organics including feathers were discovered under a copper alloy bowl and a ring, with an image of a cicada – an insect associated with immortality. The finds were excavated by Warwickshire Archaeology, which is part of Warwickshire County Council. The dig was completed before the building work on the new Jaguar Land Rover site started.
