About Me
After completing my conservation MA I did a two short contracts for the V&A before spending four months working freelance work for a private conservation studio; Annabel Wylie and Poppy Singer. Conserving various objects for projects including museum exhibitions and loans. I was then Employed on contract for four years as sole Textile Conservator for National Museum Wales, which included responsibility for collections located in seven sites across Wales, including those in store, exhibition and on display in historic buildings. My current role is Conservation Manager at the Peoples History Museum where I have been since 2014. I lead the studio in the conservation of PHM’s collection and external contracts which are income generation for the museum. My specialism is general textiles with particular focus on the conservation of painted textiles which informs the treatment of the museums extensive collection of trade union and political banners.
