About Me
I am an experienced frames conservator who worked as the Lead Frames Conservator at the Guildhall Art Gallery in London for 15 years. My responsibilities there covered a wide range from loans and exhibitions, collections care and Emergency Planning to conservation management and database design. I have also trained post graduate interns for many years and offer bespoke training courses on frames and gilding and how to care for them. I am based in the East Midlands with a private studio and available to travel widely to assist you in the care and treatment of your collection, from one item to a gallery full.
All my work is completed to the Institute of Conservation’s Professional Standards and I have collaborated on projects with major institutions including the V&A and the Museum of London. I have also worked on projects large and small in the private sector for a number of conservation companies and the National Trust. I have been a PACR assessor since 2016.
