About Me
An accredited conservator with 30+ years experience of working in national, local authority, university and independent museums, galleries and historic house contexts, and with libraries, archives and churches. Specialising in preventive conservation, including emergency planning and collections care plans, and conservation treatment. Former freelance Intern Adviser for paid conservation internships supported by the Institute of Conservation. Fellow of the International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, and the Museums Association. A former assessor, mentor and CPD reader for accreditation of conservators.
Clients have included national heritage organisations, national, local and independent museums, galleries, the Palace of Westminster, Historic House owners, churches, West Dean College, national heritage organisations and libraries and archives.
Services: collections and conservation management plans, collections care plans, preventive conservation assessments, condition surveys, protection and storage of contents and historic buildings during building works, housekeeping for historic house collections. Conservation treatment: archaeological objects and museum objects. Disaster planning & emergency salvage: advisory reports and disaster and emergency salvage plans and training.
