About Me
My current employment as a Forensic Chemist within the Chemical Criminalistics team with law enforcement is building on, and developing skills and knowledge gained from my previous 9 years’ experience as a Textile Conservator at the National Gallery of Australia. My previous employments and work experiences have given me sound life skills in a number of areas such as working in the Public and Private sectors. These transferable skills such as management, project planning, public speaking and communication are significant and key to my future career development.
My interests include the study and analysis of textiles associated with burial either archaeological or clandestine (criminal or conflict associated).
I have expertise in the analysis of fibres and fibre dye using Microspectrophotometry (MSP), Raman Spectroscopy, and (Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy.
