Accredited Conservator-Restorer specialising in Preventive Conservator and Collections Care with experience in working in the cultural heritage public sector with a Post Graduate Degree in Collections Conservation and Management and an Undergraduate Degree in Business Management.
Over the years I have worked on large-scale projects including the relocation of millions of collection items, the redevelopment of new galleries for capital projects and gallery improvements, and numerous exhibitions.
I have lead teams of museum professionals, students and volunteers to deliver on set programmes and organisational strategies, and I have worked collaboratively with colleagues and senior management to establish key priorities and ensure effective delivery.
I am strongly committed to raising the profile of cultural heritage care through preventive conservation methodologies, and to communicating the importance of collections care implementation. I have developed various guidelines and procedures to improve preventive conservation operations as well as develop and deliver various collections care training courses to museum professionals, volunteers and students across different organisations throughout Scotland.

Head of Preventive Conservation, The British Museum -- I lead, develop, manage and set standards for a specialist team of Preventive Conservators at The British Museum. I ensure delivery of a comprehensive Preventive Conservation programme and ensure adequate support is provided for all collections based activities across the organisation to make sure collections are safely accessed and cared for.
Preventive Conservator, National Museums Scotland -- Responsible for all practical and key advisory aspects of preventive conservation and collections care across four museums and NMS Collection Centre.
