About Me
Penny Jenkins Conservation is a small independent studio (Est 1982. relocated 2002) that specialises in the conservation and restoration of works of art on paper from 16th century to the present day.
Expertise in Western European Prints, Drawings and Watercolours.
Works for private collectors and smaller public collections.
Member of the British Association of Paper Historians BAPH.

Training
Diploma in Paper Conservation. 1979. (Three year course at Camberwell school of Arts- covering paper making, paper chemistry, practical conservation treatments, study of book and paper artefacts, print making techniques and some art history. Box making and tools. 1979-1982. Worked for independent print dealer in Oxford. Full time practical work and experience. 1982 - toured USA conservation studios 1982 - Set up independent Paper Conservation studio in London Accredited paper Conservator- IPC

Student vacation jobs. Cambridge At Dealer. Gallery assistant. 1976-78 London. Christies South Kensington auction house - Junior assistant to watercolour department 1978-79 Dixon Print Dealers, Oxford. 1979-1982. Restorer and Conservator of prints on paper. 1982 Established independent studio.
