I am a highly-experienced library and archive conservator delivering a comprehensive conservation and preservation service across the UK. With over 20 years' experience of working in historical collections, I am able to offer an extensive range of practical conservation options, and am confident and skilled in treating a wide variety of library and archive formats and materials. Additionally, I am able to provide a full preservation consultancy service, including condition assessments, environmental monitoring and control assessment and advice, handling and moving collections, collections care training and preparing objects for exhibition or digitsation. I am available to undertake collection-wide projects as well welcoming the opportunity to work on one-off, individual objects. Regardless of the size of the project, each client is offered a cost-effective and pragmatic service tailored to their individual requirements and to those of each object, with full consultation from initial condition assessment, through treatment to final reporting and aftercare.
Hourly rate of 35  to   £50  (Prices in GBP).
Complex project assessment documentation may be charged for. Mileage at 45p per mile for assessment visits, collection and delivery may be charged if over 25 miles radius from Reading. Additional charges for special, non-stock materials only; notification of projected costs will be given in advance of treatment.
Estimates are not usually charged for.
This practice is prepared to work on site.
