War Memorials
Survey and condition report for 22 war memorials in Leeds City Centre and surrounding areas. The memorials had a variety of previous conservation treatments over the years, some of which had caused irreversible harm. The reports highlighted the general condition of each memorial, together with recommended conservation treatments and a priority rating for the work. As a result of the survey 2 large cast bronze plaques suffering from vandalism and attempted theft were removed to our workshop. The distorted plaques were carefully straightened, the damaged patination restored and new security bolts manufactured and fitted. |

London Transport Museum |

The mounting and display of a permanent collection of exhibits for the new museum opening in November 2007. Object mounts were designed and manufactured, over a period of 5 months at the on site workshop in the museum store. Mounts were made using discreet brass armatures, clear acrylic and steel for heavier items. Interior showcase structures were manufactured from steel with powder-coasted finished. The company has an international reputation specialising in museum and gallery installations. Our work includes the manufacture of painted or fabric covered plinths and museum specification showcase interiors with particular use of inert and ‘museum friendly’ materials. |
